Renewal

Hey, it’s been a few years, hasn’t it?

Once upon a time I was intending to get back into blogging, and then all kinds of not-fun stuff happened, and here we are, 3 years later!

Something good to announce: I was invited by Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) to participate in a Textile Talk! If you don’t know about them, they are weekly chats sponsored by 4 textile art associations: SAQA, Surface Design Associates (SDA), the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and Quilt Alliance. These have been an online lifeline during the pandemic, bringing us amazing art and artists discussing a variety of topics.

It quickly became a dream of mine - an artistic goal, really - to someday be a presenter on a Textile Talk. Lo and behold, with my Renewal quilt’s acceptance into the SAQA exhibit Fur, Fangs, Feathers, and Fins, I was invited! I am thrilled!

The talk takes place February 9, 2022 at 2:00 EST (11:00 PST for me!). It is free to tune in, so here is the link for you: www.saqa.com/textiletalks. After the show date the recording of the talk can be found on YouTube by checking the Textile Talk listings HERE.

I’m feeling nervous, but I am excited and honored!
